Call For Submissions: Edgeless III "WHAT NOW?"
January 16, 2008
Much like the phoenix ridding itself of those irritating ashes, The Edgeless Shape rises again! This time around, your favourite arts quarterly is taking on a new form; it has, one might say, developed a clearer "edge".
The third issue will be our first THEMED edition. All the work we collect together will huddle beneath an idiosyncratic thematic umbrella: We're now calling for submissions (illustration, social commentary, reviews, poetry, short fiction, articles and photography) that respond to the pressing title/question/topic "WHAT NOW?"
As ever, we're looking for inventive, beautifully written pieces, full of insightful observation and verve. No more than 3,000 words please. Email me with specific ideas for visual/ illustrated pieces. As I think you'll agree, the "WHAT NOW?" theme is a big, broad and incredibly open. Hopefully its scope will provoke some surprising, unexpected interpretations. Start scratching your heads and scribbling now as the deadline for submissions is JANUARY 26TH 2008. Email all work/queries to me at:

Vacancy: Publicity and events officer
January 16, 2008
As I've told you many times before, The Edgeless Shape team is constantly flinging its arms wide open ready to embrace newcomers. If you'd like to assist in editing this fine publication, or to help with design/ layout, drop me a line as they say!
Also, we're planning to host a series of readings and open mic nights in the New Year which hopefully will have the same bouyancy and bonhomie as our launch parties. I would very much like a Publicty and Events Officer to help me put these evenings together: Booking acts, hiring spaces, spreading the word, composing publicity material etc. It wouldn't be a full time, or even part time position- it would be much more ad hoc and sporadic than than, so would fit around existing commitments. Are there any determined, enthusiastic people out there who might be interested in this position? Hope so- email me at theedgelessshape_editorial@hotmail.co.uk
Updated: We have now filled this position
